Macramé love

February 28th, 2012

A while ago I thrifted an old macramé hanging pot holder from my favourite little charity shop. It’s been sitting in a drawer while I found the right place, time and reason to hang it.

Since I had a few extra plants left over from the terrarium project I decided to buy a few more and plant up a mixed bowl, since I also had the bowl lying around (being thrifty is a trend in these parts here).

So after drilling a hole in the roof, completely missing the beam and having bought too short a cup hook (yes, DIY jobs aren’t always like they are in the movies) I finally hung it and am delighted with the results.

If you want to try your hand at making your own, fellow crafter and all round thing maker, Heather Moore of Skinny Laminx has great tutorial here.
