Next Tues, June 5th is World Environment Day and to celebrate Yuppiechef will be hosting the second annual Eat for the Earth, inviting people to host or attend an event to raise funds for Soil for Life, an NGO very close to my heart.
To quote them:
Soil for Life, a Cape Town-based NGO, is teaching people how to build the soil and grow healthy plants so that families can sit down to plates of safe, fresh nutritious food at night, all year round. The low-cost methods enable gardeners to harvest large amounts of food from small spaces using very little water and no harmful chemicals.
I hosted a dinner last year, literally cooked out of the garden, you can read about it over on Chef Prive’s blog.
So consider getting involved by either signing up to host and event or attend one.

Thanks for the mention, Matt! I still go back to the pics from your luncheon and oogle/drool over that meal. Yum!
