I’ve been compiling a Christmas books wishlist and this particular one is at the top of it, though sadly it’s only due for international publication in April 2013, available on pre-order through Kalahari.com
It’s the second book from Australian based stylist Megan Morton, designed as a companion to her first, Home Love, though more practical and touted as ‘A fun, inspiring and practical guide to loveable interiors’.
Take a look at this cute video she put together to promote it.
Here’s the blurb from her Australian publishers, Penguin.
In Things I Love, interiors stylist extraordinaire and author of Home Love Megan Morton inspires by example, sharing her infectious enthusiasm for the houses, people and design she loves. But it’s also a book full of practical tips – from how to fold those pesky fitted sheets to how to clean a vintage painting you’ve picked up at a flea market and when to clean your light bulbs.
Quirky, witty and irreverent, Things I Love will put you in touch with the things you love and teach you how to make sure they fill your home and your life.
Megan is selling signed copies at her site here, though sadly not shipping to South Africa.
If you live a abroad you may already have a copy, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
One of my Twitter followers, Natacha, passed this link on to me via Houzz.
It’s somewhat ironic given that I JUST posted my new gallery wall.
That single installation alone includes 5 of the 12 hints highlighted above. If I look around the same room I find a further 4, giving me 9 out of a possible 12… I think it’s safe to say I’m well on my way to being deemed a Hipster.
